30 Traveling traders arrive in Waterville overnight

Residents in Waterville want a group of Travellers who set up in the village overnight to move on. 30 traders arrived in the last 24 hours and put up their stalls on the green, which is County council property. When they were approached and asked to leave, The Travellers said they would be leaving for Puck next week. Kerry County Council’s Director of Housing Philip O`Sullivan says they’ll monitor the situation over the coming days. If it hasn’t changed when Puck finishes next Thursday, the Council may take legal action.
