3% of all new cars regestered in Kerry.

Over 330 new cars were registed in the county during the first 5 working days of 2004. Figures from the revenue commissioners show that the number of new cars nationally is less that half of what it was in 2000.Almost 12 and a half thousand cars were registered with the commissioners during the first business week of this year compared to over 25 thousand 7 hundred in 2000. Dublin had the highest percentage of new cars while Leitrim had the lowest.Kerry had almost 3 per cent of all new cars registered in the country. A spokesperson for the society of the Irish Motor Industry says economic conditions and consumer confidence seem to be improving and the feeling among most care dealers is very positive.
