3 major investment projects announced in 2004

The IDA says it`s been a very successful year in Kerry with three major investment projects announced. Both Dollinger and Liebherr in Killarney announced significant expansions as well as Fujisawa in Killorglin. In his annual review of the year Chief Executive of the IDA Sean Dorgan says there is buoyancy across all sectors. He says manufacturing remains at the heart of overseas investment and the 17 million euro expansion of Fujisawa’s finishing plant in Killorglin points to this. According to Mr Dorgan the agency is committed to regional development and the two investments for Killarney were a major boost. This year Dollinger announced 70 new jobs and Liebherr is investing in a research and development centre.
