With one win already under his belt, light-flyweight Brendan Irvine takes-on a Turkish figther for a place in the quarter-finals. Also during the evening session, Olympic medallist and team captain Michael Conlan will begin his campaign against a Brazilian opponent. And middleweight Michael O’Reilly will return to the ring for his last-16 bout against Australian Daniel Lewis. Last evening welterweight Adam Nolan was beaten after losing a split decision. Earlier, lightweight Sean McComb advanced to the last-16 after winning his opening-round contest.
