24 patients waiting on trolleys in University Hospital Kerry today

There are 24 patients waiting on trolleys in University Hospital Kerry’s Emergency Department today.

That’s according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives’ Organisation.

Yesterday, data from the union shows there were 23 patients waiting for a bed at UHK.

Nationally today there are 640 people waiting for beds.

The most overcrowded hospital is University Hospital Limerick where 72 people are waiting on trolleys, while there are 64 on trolleys in Cork University Hospital today.
