A twenty year old man has been arrested in connection with the robbery at the Maxol station in Listowel over two weeks ago. The man was arrested and held under Section Four of The Criminal Justice Act. The shop assistant was threatened with a knife during the raid as the thief demanded cash that was on the premises which amounted to over 1,000 euro. The man was later released without charge.Gardai in Listowel say a file will be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions in relation to the matter and they will await direction on the case.
