20 patients are waiting on trolleys in University Hospital Kerry’s Emergency Department today.
That’s according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives’ Organisation.
University Hospital Limerick and Cork University Hospital are the most overcrowded with 43 patients on trolleys in both, while there are 35 on trolleys in University Hospital Galway.
Nationally, there are 350 patients waiting on trolleys in hospitals today.
This is a decrease of 1% on the same day last year when there were 354 patients on trolleys.
