20 new jobs are to be created in Cahersiveen with the opening of a new Aldi store.
The company today confirmed its plans for the South Kerry town, as part of a €160 million Irish store network investment.
Aldi has today confirmed its plans to open a store in Cahersiveen.
The company has reached agreement with Brian McCarthy to buy a site at Abbey Place, with the aim of developing a 1,140 square metre Project Fresh store.
An estimated 20 new jobs will be created at the shop, which will provide 72 free car parking spaces, and will be powered by 100% green electricity.
A planning application for the store was submitted last month, and Aldi hopes to have it built and opened next year.
The company says the development will see a substantial investment into the local area, as well as the creation of new permanent jobs once the store opens, along with many more during construction.
Aldi already has seven stores across Kerry.
