2 Irish For English Derby Decider

There will be 2 Irish representatives in the English Derby Final next Saturday. Owen McKenna’s Farloe Blitz, the event favourite, won his semi-final to maintain his unbeaten run to the decider. Peter Cronin’s Tynwald Bish qualified from 3rd in the second semi. Farloe Blitz will be in trap 2 for the Final and Tynwald Bish trap 6. At Limerick last night 2/1 shot Steeple Rd Vic won race 6 for Tarbert’s Michael Wren by 4 and a half lengths in 28.73. Race 11 at Shelbourne Park went to the 5/2 priced Ballymac Matt for the Ballymac-Kelly & the lads syndicate, by 2 lengths in 32.33. First in the 10th at Curraheen Park was 3/1 shot Freds Choice, by 2 and a half lengths in 30.23 for Brendan O’Mahony.
