17 Kerry schools to receive low cost software

Seventeen schools in the county are to receive low cost software under an extension to Microsoft`s global partners in learning programme. The allocation is going to 13 primary and 4 secondary schools across the county. The extension has been facilitated through an agreement between Microsoft Ireland and The Department of Education and Science. This will ensure the provision of computer software to selected disadvantaged schools throughout the country at a nominal cost until 2008. Nationwide 711 schools will benefit from the programme.
