16 Bus Éireann routes in Kerry  are under review  amid concerns from one community that their service is to be reduced. Bus Éireann and the National Transport Authority are reviewing  bus routes in the county which get a state subsidy. The company’s refused to comment on concerns that it’s to reduce its Killarney-Rathmore service, which is a subsidised route. Tralee-Bus-Eireann-1024x768 Bus Eireann operates 16 routes in Kerry that receive the Public Service Obligation subsidy. In a statement, the company says ‘as part of the network review process, Bus Éireann in conjunction with the National Transport Authority are reviewing all PSO services to meet the varied needs of our customers.’ Radio Kerry was contacted about concerns that the Killarney-Rathmore service would be reduced. At the moment, the service operates six times a day, Monday to Friday, as part of the Macroom-Millstreet-Killarney route. Bus Éireann says services to Rathmore will be examined as part of its review. However, no decision has been made on Rathmore or any other routes in Kerry.
