12 Kerry businesses make top 1,000 list

12 Kerry businesses have made the list for top 1,000 companies in Ireland. Kerry Group is ranked at number five in the list in today`s Irish Times. The list which is based on turnover shows Kerry at 3.8 billion euro. This list is published just as Kerry acquires its first Danish company, Crema a Dairy ingredients business. The purchase is being described as a modest one. Of the 12 Kerry businesses listed 8 are locally owned. The second highest ranked Kerry company is Killorglin based pharmaceutical business Fujisawa at 154. The Spectra group.with a turnover of 90 million ranks at 308 while Garvey Group is close behind on a turnover of 86 million euro. Financial services company Fexco’s turnover listed as 85 million earns them number 322 on the list.Kelleher`s Electrical and the Munster Joinery are also highly ranked. Killarney’s Liebherr Cranes report a turnover of 62 million euro. The recently floated CNG hotels is at number 667 on the list followed by Tales Amen industries, Klinge in Killorglin and Kit Fab in Listowel.
