There were 10 IDA site visits to Kerry last year.
That’s according to figures released by Minister for Business, Enterprise, and Innovation, Heather Humphreys.
The 10 visits last year is up from nine in 2017, and three in 2016.
There was a total of 607 IDA Ireland sponsored site visits across the country last year, 10 of those were to Kerry.
There were no site visits between January and March of 2018 in Kerry, but there were five in the second quarter, three in the third quarter, and two during the last three months of the year.
Last year’s figure was up on 2017, when there were nine IDA sponsored site visits to Kerry.
There had been just three such visits to Kerry in both 2016 and 2014, while there were six in 2015.
Figures also show that during 2018, 2,241 people were working in IDA-supported jobs in Kerry in 17 companies.
There were 122 new jobs created in IDA backed companies in the county last year, but there were 68 job losses, giving a net gain of 54.
