Young Kerry couple credited with saving students from jail in Thailand

A Kerry couple has been credited with helping three Irish students avoid jail in Thailand. John O’Brien from Mounthawk, Tralee and Julianne Ní Laoire from Ballyroe  were in the airport in Thailand when they saw the UCC students. Sorcha Cotter, Maeve Nevin Maguire and Nicole Yap had overstayed on their visa after a visit to Cambodia and did not have enough money to cover a fine.John O'Brien from Mounthawk, Tralee and Julianne Ní Laoire from Ballyroe who saved UCC students from jail in Thailand.   Fearing they would be prosecuted they approached the couple from Tralee who provided the shortfall and allowed the trio to board their flight.
