Met Eireann has issued a status yellow weather warning for Kerry They’re warning of strong westerly winds which will reach speeds of 44 to 55 kilometres per hour and could gust to as high as 100 km/hr. Motorists are been advised to take caution on the roads today as there is also a risk of flooding in many areas. Meanwhile the Killarney to Kenmare route via Molls Gap is impassable at the moment. Gardai are asking the public to avoid the route until further notice. There’s also a status yellow rainfall warning for counties Galway and Clare. Rainfall of 25 – 50mm is expected over the weekend.
