A woman has been released from University Hospital Kerry this morning following a fall on Carrauntoohill yesterday.
At 1:45 yesterday afternoon, Kerry Mountain Rescue was called out to an incident on the mountain.
An English woman in her 40’s had slipped and fallen whilst descending an area known as the Central Gully with her climbing partner.
The Coastguard Helicopter, airlifted equipment and rescue personnel onto the mountain from Ard na Locha.
The woman was treated at the scene for head and suspected spinal injuries.
She was stretchered over difficult terrain and was transferred to an ambulance which brought her to University Hospital Kerry.
The rescue mission finished at 10pm tonight.
