A 39-year old woman who died following a fatal crash in Newcastlewest on Saturday, is believed to have been a Tralee resident. The woman – thought to have hailed originally from Nigeria – crashed into signage at the Applegreen Service Station at Coolanoran on the N20 at approximately 11.30pm on Saturday night. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Two children aged 14 and 11 and a man in his 40s are also believed to have been injured in the incident – their injuries have been described as non-life threatening. Gardaí in Newcastlewest are appealing for any witnesses to contact them on 069-20650.
