Valentia Coast Guard has co-ordinated the rescue of a fisherman in Cork today.
The Polish national who is 36 was angling on the mainland a short distance from the Dursey Island Cable Car station and carpark.
Valentia Coast Guard was alerted at 11.45 and they tasked Shannon helicopter, Rescue 115 to the scene.
The Castletownbere, Derrynane and Ballinskelligs units of the Irish Coast Guard along with the Castletownbere RNLI lifeboat were also tasked to the incident.
The man was airlifted to Kerry University Hospital where he is being treated for hypothermia, however his injuries are not thought to be life threatening at this time.
