Valentia Coast Guard assisting in co-ordination of search for man off Clare coast

Valentia Coast Guard is assisting in the co-ordination of a search resuming this afternoon for a man who is feared to have fallen into the sea in County Clare. The alarm was raised on Friday when staff arriving for work at the Cliffs of Moher visitor centre saw a a car in the car park from the previous night. It is believed that the missing man is aged in his 60s and from Dublin. Valentia Coastguard Members of the Doolin unit of the Irish Coast Guard have been carrying out water and shoreline searches, assisted by the Shannon-based helicopter.
