Unite has issued a statement with Cadbury’s timeline for decision on WRC proposals agreed last night. It comes after staff at the Cadbury plant in Coolock are to return to work this evening, after the suspension of strike action at the factory. The statement said – Unite and SIPTU will proceed with a meeting of the joint negotiating committee on Monday March 7th. This will be followed by a joint shop stewards meeting on Tuesday March 8th, which will issue a recommendation. The proposals and recommendations will then be considered by members for approximately two weeks. Cadbury staff in Ireland, including its 80 plus employees in Rathmore, where there is no dispute, had been put on protective notice.
