Ugo Ehiogu Dies Aged 44

Former England defender Ugo Ehiogu has died at the age of 44.

He suffered a cardiac arrest at Tottenham’s training centre yesterday, where he was working as the club’s under-23 coach.

Ehiogu was taken to hospital, where he passed away this morning.

He played in Aston Villa’s League Cup final victory in 1996, and the Middlesbrough side which lifted the same trophy in 2004.

Stoke manager Mark Hughes played against him during his career………….

Lee Hendrie was his fomer team-mate at Aston Villa and has called him called him a “superb guy”……….
