One of the Kerry nominees for this year’s Mum Of The Year Awards says she’s humbled to have been shortlisted for the honour. Eileen Clifford from Killorglin was nominated by a work colleague. She is renowned for her courage in speaking publicly through her own personal tragedy after her son died following an accident in Australia. Eileen says her’s is not the only sad story.Maura Fitzgerald from Killarney has also been shortlisted and she was nominated by her daughter Niamh Dwyer. She says she’s learned a lot from her mother.
