Two Kerry towns in Tidy Towns competition

Killarney and Kenmare have been placed in the regional divisions of the Tidy Towns competition. Killarney is citied as one of the tidiest largest town in the country, with Kenmare in the smallest town category. Meanwhile there’s been a miraculous turn around for Ennis after it was recently called a ‘litterblackspot.’The county Clare town has today been named the tidiest in Ireland despite a survey published two weeks ago claiming it had one of the biggest litter problems in the country. Frank Larkin of Shannon Development Tourism Agency says local people have been working hard to clean it up.
