South Kerry Independent Alliance councillor, Michael Gleeson has confirmed his decision to contest the forthcoming elections to Kerry County Council. Cllr Gleeson has been a member of Kerry County Council since 1999 and a member of the soon to be abolished Killarney Town Council since 1994. The Killarney man was this week selected by his party members to stand in the Killarney Electoral Area in the upcoming poll. Meanwhile, Independent councillor, Brendan Cronin has also announced he is to defend his seat in the Killarney area. The Ballyhar councillor has been a member of the local authority since 1999.
