Twelve patients were waiting on trolleys at University Hospital Kerry yesterday. That’s according to figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation, which show the numbers on trolleys in emergency departments and hospital wards across the country. The INMO compiles the figures each day and they are not disputed by the Health Service Executive. Nationally, there were 404 people waiting on trolleys for treatment.
