The union says that from the 4th of April, its members will be directed not to co-operate with any activities related to the proposed mergers – which includes the formation of a technical university between IT Tralee and Cork IT. The TUI is continuing its annual conference in Killarney today. General Secretary of the union John MacGabhann, says these mergers will not suit all institutions.
