Tributes are being paid to Judge Mary O’Halloran who has died. Judge O’Halloran first practiced as a solicitor in Tralee in private practise and also worked for a time for Kerry County Council. She was then appointed a permanent Judge for Court Area 13 which covered the North Kerry and West Limerick area. Judge O Halloran also served for a time on the Special Criminal Court. The Chairman of the Law Society in Kerry John Galvin has described her as always open. He said that she was aware of the failings of the people that came before her and extended them great courtesy. Mr Galvin said Judge O Halloran always administered justice fairly. Her funeral mass takes place in Tralee this morning.
