The trial of a Georgian national charged with the murder of fellow Georgian in Tralee 10 years ago is beginning today in the Central Criminal Court in Dublin. In February last year Badri Khvedelidze was detained in Spain in connection with the death of George Tkeshelashvili in Tralee in 2005. Gardaí in Tralee launched a murder investigation in 2005 after the stabbing of a 47-year-old man in an apartment block on Mary Street on October 15th. George Tkeshelashvili from the former Soviet republic of Georgia, died in Kerry General Hospital following a row. A post mortem examination confirmed he died from stab wounds.
