Tralee group calls for database to identify vulnerable people

Elderly WomanA Tralee group says a database to identify vulnerable people would reduce the risk of individuals getting into difficulties due to poverty and neglect. Cumann Iosaef is a voluntary charity which provides a number of services including meals-on-wheels. The group has contacted Kerry County Council about establishing a database to help vulnerable people. Kevin O’Connor is chairman of Cumann Iosaef. He says such a database could, for example, help provide alarms for older, vulnerable people who have not been identified by social services.
