Tralee Credit Union is reporting assets of €185 million. The branch held its AGM last night in Fels Point Hotel, Tralee. It has savings of 154 million euro and has over 42,700 members. Last December the assets of Killorglin Credit Union were transferred by the Central Bank to Tralee Credit Union adding 30 million to the assets of the Tralee branch. Tralee Credit Union said it was aware that the process was proceeding at its AGM last year but was bound by a confidentiality agreement as the Central Bank was concerned if word broke savings in Killorglin might be withdrawn. More use is planned for the Killorglin office in the coming months and years. The transition of staff has been satisfactory with any issues now long resolved. Dividends totalling over one million euro are to be paid to members. The value of the branch’s 8,021 loans is almost 25.7 million euro. Tralee Credit Union says it has 30 million euro to lend to members this year and says it is continuing to work to provide debit card facilities.
