Tralee Credit Union CEO says private investigation industry needs to be regulated

The CEO of Tralee Credit Union says it has used private investigators to track down borrowers who are failing to repay loans. Fintan Ryan says the use of private investigators by financial institutions is a legitimate practice. He says the issue is the private investigation industry isn’t regulated. Tralee Credit Union According to today’s Irish Independent, investigators used false identities to access information including PPS numbers and addresses from the Department of Social Protection.
