A major tourism promotion aimed at attracting incentive business is set to come to Killarney in October. The event organised by Tourism Ireland aims to encourage meeting planners and those involved in incentive travel to include Ireland in their programmes.Over 130 incentive travel and corporate meeting decision makers from 16 countries will meet in Killarney. They will then travel to Dublin for a workshop. It`s estimated that 35,000 people travel to Ireland each year as part of an incentive package, half of these visitors are from the United States. A further 70,000 attend corporate meetings in this country. The announcement has been welcomed by Minister John O Donohue.
