One of the directors of the Titian Theatre in Ballybunion says he will look at withholding rates if the County Manager doesn`t revisit his decision to release funds of up to 375,000 euro in order to open the theatre. The County Manager is advising councillors that it would be unwise to allocate the money as he says it seems the theatre will operate on a loss making basis and will need continued financial support. The Tintean project is currently in the red to the tune of up to 800,000 euro, however the Directors feel if the council allocated the initial funds then corporate sponsorship would follow to clear the remaining debt. One of the directors Michael Carr says they need the council`s money now.
