Three days of racing begins in Dingle

They have been running for longer than anyone can remember but one punter has a longer record than most at Dingle Races. Horse 2 Timmy Kelliher from Milltown, who turned 90 on St Patrick’s Day, will head to the races for his 76th time today. The former winning jockey attended his first races as a boy of 14 with his father. His brother Stevie, who passed away last January, devoted a lifetime to the organising committee. Committee member and local publican James Curran says the venue has changed over the years to its permanent home in Ballintaggart.
