Thousands of euro worth of alcohol have been seized by Revenue officials in Kerry. The Customs Service in Kerry has confirmed it seized nearly 1,300 litres of alcohol with an estimated value of over €11,200 from an unlicensed trader in the county. The entire stock of alcohol products, which included beer, wine, spirits and liquor, was seized from the unlicensed trader who continued to trade without an appropriate excise license despite having received a warning letter from Revenue. It’s the second seizure of this nature in Kerry over the past six weeks. On July 3rd last, nearly 270 litres of alcohol valued at over €3,300 was seized from another unlicenced trader in the county.
