The Puck Fair festival begins today and significant crowds are expected to visit Killorglin during the three-day event.
This year’s festival is bigger than previous years and strict traffic restrictions are in place in Killorglin over the coming days.
The annual Puck Fair Festival gets underway today and organisers are expecting thousands of people to travel to Killorglin over the next three days.
There will be several no parking zones in the town and all those visiting the festival are being asked to follow the traffic signs and instructions.
There will be sufficient parking available in the Annadale car park, opposite the Bianconi Inn, while parking facilities will also be available in the Killarney Road car park and the Tralee Road car park.
There will be limited disability parking in the Aldi underground car park.
Motorists availing of these facilities are being advised to lock doors and windows and to remove all valuables from view inside cars.
Organisers have lined-up a wide range of entertainment for all ages ranging from one of Ireland’s oldest horse fairs to the annual coronation parade.
Dancing with the Stars champion Jake Carter is the headline act at the festival and will perform in the Square on Sunday night.
There will also be live music and family entertainment in the town throughout the three-day event.
