Thirty year old woman is remanded to Limerick Prison for two weeks

A thirty year old woman charged in relation to the death of her three year old daughter has been remanded to Limerick Prison for a further two weeks. Meanwhile Tralee District Court today heard that the DPP were awaiting a file on more serious charges. The State today made an application that the thirty year old mother of five be remanded to Limerick Prison for a further two weeks. Superintendent Pat Sullivan that while the case was with the DPP there were awaiting a file on more serious charges that would be brought before the Court.Solicitor for the Defence Dave Ramsey informed Judge Leo Malone that he was not in a position to oppose or consent to the States application. Monica Paczkowska is charged with ill-treating a child in a manner likely to cause unnecessary suffering or injury to the child`s health or seriously to effect her well being. Today at Tralee District Court Judge Leo Malone granted the States application. Monica Paczkowska will appear at Limerick District Court on Wednesday august 31st. However it`s understood the Accused Defence Team may make an application for bail to the High Court next week
