A new theatre project from the Vtos Braille Programme is being launched in Siamsa Tire. It`s the fifth phase of a programme known as hidden voices from the dark which features visually impaired people from around the county. It was set up in 1998 by Anne Kennelly to raise awareness about the need for inclusion of people with a visual impairment. The material for the production was written entirely by the Braille performers. The theme is a sense of life and it aims to give an insight into what it is like for a person who is blind or visually impaired living day to day life. Parts of the show will be experienced in darkness to highlight this.
