Tánaiste launches CE scheme extension for sixtysomethings

The Tánaiste has launched in Tralee, a pilot  community employment scheme aimed at people in their sixties. Joan Burton People who are 62 years old and more will now be able to take part in community employment schemes until they can claim the state pension at  the age of 66. The pilot scheme will start on January 4th. Joan Burton, who’s  Minister for Social Protection, made the announcement  at Áras an Phobail CE scheme in Tralee.
