The stormy conditions at sea which drowned fish including Conger Eels off the Kerry coast will not have a long term effect of the fish stocks in the area. Marine expert Kevin Flannery says although it is highly unusual, sand and silt got into their gills in stormy conditions leading to their drowning. He says the areas will be reinhabited once the weather conditions improve.
