Storm damage on Sceilig Mhíchíl worse than initially feared

That’s according to Frank Shalvey, principal officer with the OPW’s National Monuments section. Mr Shalvey said the damage was “worse than expected”, in particular along the Lighthouse Road part of the island. A cracked area of wall further back towards the pier will also have to be rebuilt and partially replaced.
