St Patricks Day Parades are taking place across the county today as large crowds are expected to gather in the fine weather to celebrate our national holiday. The Tralee’s St Patrick’s Day parade is due to get underway around now. Listowel’s parade starts at 12.30pm from the community centre. Ballyduff’s main event will begin from the Square, after 11 o’clock Mass, with an estimated start time of noon also. The Castlemaine parade starts around now (12pm) and Helen Cronin one of the main organisers tells us more: [audio_player src=”http://media.radiokerry.ie/mediamanager/embed/audio/54292/medium/”] Causeway’s parade also begins at 12 from the Sportsfield. Organisers of Glenbeigh, Glencar and Cromane are really excited about their parade as Mary B Teahan on of the organisers explains: [audio_player src=”http://media.radiokerry.ie/mediamanager/embed/audio/54293/medium/”] Sneem’s gathering begins at 12.15, with people being asked to assemble at Quay Road at 11.30am. There’ll be road closures from 12.15 to 1.15 due to the parade in Sneem. There’ll be live music on Main Street, Castleisland from noon with the parade, which is being led by the Cullen Pipe Band, starting at 1 pm from the Tralee road.
