The festival parade was launched at Killarney House, a place organisers say “encompasses the theme perfectly”. Acting president of Killarney Chamber of Tourism & Commerce Paul O’Neill, Mayor of Killarney Cllr Bobby O’Connell and Niall O’Donoghue were on hand to launch the event. Speaking at the launch, parade chair Anna-Marie Kennelly said 2016 was a time to reflect on the past and also to imagine the future.
