In the early game today between Spurs and Southampton, an injury time goal from Gylfi Sigurdsson gave Tottenham Hotspur all 3 points against Southampton in the opening Premier League game of the day. Southampton took an early 2-nil lead at White Hart Lane, thanks to goals from Jay Rodriguez and Adam Lallana. Christian Eriksen then struck twice for Spurs either side of half time to put the home side back on level terms, before Sigurdsson won it with a 20 yard strike in the last minute.
