The General Purposes Committee of the North Kerry Hurling Board are to examine the match referee’s report from the Ballyduff versus Causeway North Kerry league fixture on Monday April 5th. At a meeting last night the Board referred the matter to the General Purposes Committee, who will now convene in about 10 days time. It’s believed the referee’s report contains an allegation of assault against a Ballyduff player while a person is also said to have been reported for alleged intimidation outside the referee’s home. Depending on the outcome of any investigation Ballyduff could be in danger of losing their €5000 bond lodged with the County Board after the infamous County Championship game against Kilmoyley last year.
