Mick O’Dwyer looks set to take over as manager of the Clare senior footballers at a county board meeting next week.
The Waterville man may take over after having spells with Kerry, Kildare, Laois and Wicklow.
Clare County Board Chairman Michael O’ Neill has confirmed to Radio Kerry Sports that nothing has been confirmed until their November meeting as they still are talking to a few other people.
