Basketball-Cup Final
The Mens and Womens SuperLeague National Cup champions are to be determined at the National Arena tonight.
First up at 6.45 is the Womens decider between UL and DCU Mercy. UL are coached by Killarney's James Weldon, he is assisted by Des O'Sullivan of Listowel, with Finuge's Louise Galvin co captain and Loretta Maher of Duagh also on the panel.

Gaelic Games-Dublin Team
Dublin include 8 of their All Ireland final starting side for tomorrow's Allianz Football League opener against Kerry.
Craig Dee-ass will make his debut in the half back line while Ross McConnell partners Michael Dara McAuley in midfield.
Just two of the forwards that started the All-Ireland Final, Bryan Cullen and Diarmuid Connolly, are named in the side.

Ireland v Wales
Declan Kidney has named his Ireland team for their Six Nations opener with Wales at the Aviva on Sunday.
There's two personnel changes from the World Cup defeat to the Welsh in New Zealand.
Andrew Trimble and Jonathan Sexton both come in so Ronan O'Gara drops to the bench while Keith Earls moves from the wing to outside centre in place of the injured Brian O'Driscoll.

Kerry team v Dublin
Kerry have named their team for their Allianz Football League opener with Dublin at Croke Park on Saturday.
Jack O'Connor has included seven players that started in the All Ireland final defeat to the Dubs last September.
James O’Donoghue makes his first competitive start at corner forward in place of Colm Cooper who's unavailable due to club committments.
After two years out Seán O’Sullivan returns to start in the half forward line.
Kieran Donaghy captains the side from full-forward in Cooper’s absence.

Dromid v Derrytresk
The GAA's Central Competitions Control Committee has come down hard on Derrytresk and Dromid Pearses after the violent scenes that marred their All Ireland Junior Club semi-final in Portlaoise last month.
It's believed Dromid Pearses have had three players suspended - The South Kerry side have also been fined 2,000 euro.
It's understood 8 Derrytresk players (4 that started the game and 4 subs) have been banned and will now miss next week's Final against Connacht champions Clonbur.
The Tyrone side have also been hit with a 5,000 euro fine.
Derrytresk are set to appeal the suspensions while Dromid have confirmed to Radio Kerry that they are also seeking legal advice on the matter through their Solicitor, as to what their next course of action will be.

The CCCC investigation into Dromid against Derrytresk in the All-Ireland Junior Club Football Championship semi-final earlier this month is as expected centering on the pre half-time brawl.
However, events at the full-time whistle are also being investigated, with the clubs asked to identify relevant personnel.

On Wednesday in the Sigerson Cup IT Tralee take on IT Sligo at St.Josephs Doora-Barefield Club in Clare at 2 o'clock.
IT Tralee report a full strength panel for that outing.
IT Tralee will not reveal their starting 15 until Wednesday morning.

Gaelic Games-Moynihan Cup Semi-Final
Listowel and Rathmore are into the Kerry Colleges Moynihan Cup Final.
Listowel were 1-7 to 5 points victors over Gaelcolaiste Tra Li while Rathmore defeated Causeway 3-11 to 2-5.

Tommy Griffin's Inter County career is at an end.
The Dingle man won 5 Senior All-Irelands with Kerry, his first coming in his debut season in 2000.
He also won medals in 2004, 6, 7 and 9.

Kerry midfielder Anthony Maher is rated doubtful for the Allianz National Football League opener against Dublin.

Cromane have yet to decide whether to appeal against their expulsion from the Mid Kerry Senior Football Championship.
They were disqualified from the competition for failing to fulfill Saturday's semi-final re-fixture.

Ballyheigue Races Off today
Due to gale force winds in Ballyheigue todays Race Meeting has been called off for Health and Safety reasons. The committee felt that it wouldn't be safe to race and have rescheduled the meeting for Sunday January 15th with a provisional 12.30 start.
