500,000 euro has been announced for the Southern Health Board for the implementation of the cardiovascular strategy. The allocation is to be distributed to Tralee General Hospital. The funding will go towards establishing consultant led cardiology services for patients at Tralee General. The Southern Health Board`s cardiac rehabilitation services are also to benefit from the announcement. The funding has been welcomed by Deputy Martin Ferris.
