Some members of the Garda Representative Association in Kerry are angry the association didn’t go ahead with industrial action today.
That’s according to Kerry GRA respresentative Seamus Moriarty who said while some members are pleased, he’s also received negative feedback from other members.
The GRA’s central executive is yet to ballot members on ad-hoc recommendations from the Labour Court in relation to Garda pay and conditions.
The association will meet again on Monday and have not, as yet ruled out further strike action later this month.
Seamus Moriary, who’s a community garda in Tralee, attended discussions last night.
Speaking to Jerry O’Sullivan on Kerry Today this morning, he said strong arguments were put forward from both sides:
Garda Moriarty said the ongoing issues and disquiet among members stems deeper than just pay.
