The solicitor representing Emma Mhic Mhathúna has submitted an estimate of costs of approximately €700,000.
Former West Kerry resident Ms Mhic Mhathúna, one of 221 women affected by the Cervical Check controversy, recently settled her legal action against the HSE and a US laboratory for seven point five million Euro.
According to The Sunday Business Post, Cian O’Carroll, who represents her, says his legal costs represent two senior counsel, one junior counsel as well as a team of solicitors and various experts.
Mr O’Carroll says he’s been asked to provide a figure for the payment of interim costs in Ms Mhic Mhathúna’s case.
He’s also handling another 40 cases associated with the Cervical Check controvery.
